Born in Syria, based in Vienna
Moulham Obid combines fashion, art, and social awareness in his work. His
designs are characterized by intricate craftsmanship, sculptural silhouettes, and a
strong commitment to sustainability.
Since founding his label in 2017, he has
aimed to unite artistic expression with ecological responsibility, shaping a new form of contemporary couture.
His collections often explore themes of nature and the environment, translated into
experimental forms, drapery, and elaborate embroidery. Layers of transparent
tulle, flowing silks, and complex volumes create a modern, feminine style that is at
once romantic and powerful. Traditional techniques meet innovative approaches to
materials, resulting in a unique aesthetic language. His work has received multiple accolades: the Diva Austrian Fashion Talent Award (2017) for his debut collection PHI brought him international attention, followed by the Austrian Fashion Association’s Start-up Grant (2018) for his sustainable collection GAIA. His critical engagement with environmental issues in the collection Pollution was also recognized with AFA funding (2019). In 2022, he was named a finalist for the Fashion Trust Arabia Awards in the Eveningwear category.
